This project had some unusual circumstances. Initially, there was public resistance to the demolition of the previous structure on the site. Also, this project is located in a high vehicular and pedestrian traffic intersection of a major downtown artery. However, the project has had positive impacts on the downtown landscape in the historic church circle area. It has improved the economic development of the downtown businesses by increasing consume traffic.
