The Kingsport Pump Track, developed by GRC Construction, Inc. with architectural design by Barge and expertise from the American Ramp Company (ARC), is a dynamic addition to the Brickyard Park athletic complex. This facility features sculpted dirt mounds and berms, offering an exciting experience for cyclists of all ages and skill levels.

The construction involved detailed grading, compacting, and the use of high-quality materials for durability against heavy use and weather. GRC Construction collaborated closely with Barge and the local community, completing the project on time and under budget, with no incidents during construction.

The pump track is complemented by a plaza area with shade structures, bike racks, a bike repair station, and ample seating. Musco athletic lighting extends usability into the evening, enhancing safety and visibility.

Located on a brownfield site, the project required extensive soil remediation and eco-friendly construction practices. Despite the challenges, the project transformed the area into a vibrant space that promotes health, recreation, and social cohesion, revitalizing the surrounding community and stimulating local economic activity.
